On a daily basis, I receive inquiries from individuals interested in employment opportunities with POSH Events, LLC. I currently do not have any openings for internships/apprenticeships at this time. Although on occasion I am in need of staff to assist with events, please me mindful that as a small business owner, these positions are needed on an event by event basis (and not as a full-time employment opportunity).

If you are interested in the field of Event Planning and would like to acquire "real world experience" and knowledge, may I suggest some of the following that have been beneficial in my success:

• - Pursue an educational track-be it formal (Temple University, George Washington University, etc) or informal (classes in Event Management, Floral Design, Wine Tasting, Budgeting, Cake Design, etc)
• - Obtain certification from an industry association (CSEP, Professional Bridal Consultant, CMP, etc)
• - Become a member of a Local Networking Association affiliated with the Special Events Industry (i.e. Association of Bridal Consultants, National Association of Catering Executives, International Special Events Society)
• - Attend Industry recognized annual conferences and participate in the educational seminars ( HSMAI's Affordable Meeting & The Special Event Show 2008)
